WerkStrong is a dynamic weight training program that was designed to cater to all fitness levels. It is a high energy, full body workout created to help you lose fat and tone your body while building endurance, strength, and stability. Whether you are beginning or continuing your strength training journey, WerkStrong was designed for you.
Mondays - 6pm-6:55pm
Wednesdays - 7:30pm-8:30pm
Fridays - 7:30pm-8:30pm
Saturdays - 12pm-12:55pm
Each class will include:
Warm Up – Incorporates a demo of safe lifting techniques.
Weight Training – Supersets and Tri-sets: completion of an exercise immediately followed by a second (or third) exercise with short breaks.
Body Werk – Core and hips.
Cool Down & Stretch
Modifications will be demonstrated during each exercise series. Exercises will be changed though out each session to add variety and challenges to the workout.
SIGN UP & PUNCH CARD:
Class admission requires the purchase of a non-refundable punch card that will be available up to 10 calendar days before a session begins. Punch cards may be purchased at any Zumba/Hip Hop fitness class. Drop ins are not allowed. Each session is four weeks long, and you may attend any class during the session. Punch cards will expire at the end of each session, and unused punches can not be carried over into the following session. Punch cards cannot be shared with or transferred to another participant. Unused WerkStrong punches are not valid for admission to any dance fitness classes. By purchasing a WerkStrong punch card, you acknowledge that you have fully read and agree to the terms and conditions contained in this document.
4 Classes (or one class per week)- $36
8 Classes (or two classes per week) - $64
12 Classes (or three classes per week) - $84
Please be aware that if you have to miss a class, you can take an extra class the following week to make up for it, as long as the punch card has not yet expired (for example, if you have a 4-class card and normally attend once a week but you miss a day, you may attend two classes the following week).
WHAT TO BRING:
Two 8-10 lb. dumbbells.
Post workout snack.
You may leave your mat and dumbbells in the studio equipment room. Please write your name on your belongings. Werk Dance Fitness is not responsible for lost or stolen property. The dumbbells that you start with should be heavy enough that 10-12 repetitions are a challenge to complete.
If this is your first session or you would like to progress to heavier weights over time, there will be a limited number of heavier dumbbells available at the studio. Borrowed dumbbells must remain in the studio and be returned to the weight rack at the end of class.
Childcare will not be available during any class.
CODE OF CONDUCT:
WerkStrong is a POSITIVE, judgement-free environment. Participants are to refrain from language or behavior that hurts, intimidates, or discourages others. We highly support words of encouragement to fellow participants. Constructive feedback is welcome after class in a private setting.
Be advised that photos and videos may be taken during class for marketing purposes and may be posted on the Werk Dance Fitness Facebook and/or Instagram pages, and/or werkdancefitness.com. If you wish to record your own photos and/or videos during class, please be courteous to your fellow participants.
RELEASE OF LIABILITY:
It is highly recommended that you consult your physician before beginning any new exercise program. By purchasing a WerkStrong punch card, you understand and agree to the following:
You have been cleared by your physician to participate. You are capable of performing physical exercise and you acknowledge that you are voluntarily participating at your sole risk, fully aware of the risks involved. You understand that there are health risks associated with activities performed in the WerkStrong program. These health risks include, but are not limited to, dizziness, fainting, nausea, muscle cramping, musculoskeletal injury, sprains and strains, heart attack, stroke, or sudden death. If you experience these or any other symptoms while exercising, you will discontinue the activity, notify your instructor, and consult your physician. You understand that Werk Dance Fitness staff and instructors are not responsible for your compliance with your physician’s recommendations.
Important: Missing the warm up and/or leaving before the cool down can lead to a higher risk of injury and prohibit you from getting the best results from your workout. Please insure that you arrive with enough time to get prepared and perform the full warm up for each class. Please notify your instructor of any current or previous injuries that would inhibit you from completing the exercises given, and you will be provided with modifications. Please advise on any new injury or pain before class begins.
